All contractors including specialty contractors must be currently registered with the City of Ft. Myers prior to issuance of permits. Registration of renewal is required by September 30th of each year. Failure to renew will result in the inability to pull permits.

When submitting a contractor registration form please provide all of the following as applicable to your business:

1. State of Florida registration/certification license (copy).
2. Workers compensation insurance or State validated exemption form (City of Ft. Myers as certificate holder).
3. General Liability Insurance Certificate (City of Ft. Myers as certificate holder).
4. Competency card from Lee County (Registered & Specialty contractors only).
5. $25.00 Administrative fee for processing registration/renewal
